I · Sunday
The Birth
A curtain parts. There is a bathtub, a robed figure, and a ladle. The congregation is beside itself with holy joy, and you have arrived just in time.
Black Rock City · Aug 30 – Sep 7, 2026
Pachi is born, Pachi dies, and Pachi returns — every year, on schedule, in a bathtub. We are the congregation that witnesses it.
This year the city is built around the axis that connects the realms. We have been doing that in a tent since 2016. Come find out what the gazpacho is made of.
The Cycle
Three stations of the week. Two of them you can attend. The middle one happens whether anyone is watching or not.
I · Sunday
A curtain parts. There is a bathtub, a robed figure, and a ladle. The congregation is beside itself with holy joy, and you have arrived just in time.
II · Tuesday – Wednesday
Nothing is scheduled. The mischievous one slips into the spirit realm ahead of time, and the congregation is left holding only faith. This is the observance.
III · Thursday
Faith, it turns out, is the one currency Pachi accepts. He returns wet-furred and unbothered, and hands out missions you are not permitted to decline.
Six offerings · all welcome
Every one of these is open to anyone who wanders in. No belief required, no membership, no cover.
Sunday, Aug 30 11:00 PM
One of our two big parties of the week. A cup of magical gazpacho, then dancing.
Start here First time at camp? This is the short version of who Pachi is and who we are.
Monday, Aug 31 5:00 PM
A group bike ride out to the deep playa. You get an otter tail. The route is decided as we go.
What to bring Gather at camp 5–6 PM, departing at 6. A ride out to the deep playa — bring a bike, water, and a light for the return.
Thursday, Sep 3 11:00 PM
Our other big party. Pachi comes back, there is a drink and an optional confession, and then everyone dances.
